StreamStitch: The Inline Stitching System for New Revenue Streams
StreamStitch is Ferag’s inline stitching system, built on the proven stitching method from UniDrum technology. Because it integrates easily into new or existing systems, it opens the door to markets you couldn’t serve before. As a result, lucrative products like special inserts and magazine-like publications can be produced in-house — without outsourcing to a separate bindery.
Unlike a standalone saddle stitcher, this inline stitching system runs directly inside your existing production line. That means fewer handling steps, less floor space, and a shorter path from press to finished, stitched product. StreamStitch handles formats from 16 to 164 tabloid pages with two fixed stitches per copy, so it comfortably covers everything from a slim special insert to a full magazine-like publication.
To keep runs consistent at up to 40,000 copies per hour, StreamStitch is matched to Ferag’s own stitching wire, engineered specifically for the system’s fixed 15 mm staple width. Using the matched consumable helps you avoid jams and maintain stitch quality across long production runs.
